Hurache on the royal wedding, the music industry, being black and making music. If you’ve not met them before, now’s your chance.

At a time when the music industry is, shall we say, in contraction, Hurache are bucking the trend and actually selling CD’s. Perversely succeding too. Real CD’s with a cover n everything. They’ve also just signed a 32 track deal with Oprah Winfrey (who knew she was so cool?)

They popped into Soundart Radio to share cucumber sandwiches and toast the happy couple on our anarchic broadcast, as we enjoyed the highest number of listeners on record. These guys are almost invisible on the web, making the following audio as rare as a stylish mullet.

The Beacons are great unplugged, we did treat them to a beacon sandwich quiz (see below) and really admire the art attack style home made glasses. The lengths you have to go to when you’re in a band…

Thanks to The Beacons generosity the recordings can be added to yer library. In the same order as above feel free to download tracks 1 ‘too busy’, 2 ‘lungs’, 3 ‘you know why’ and 4 ‘misfits’ on windows right click/save as – on ubuntu right click/save link as – don’t know what apple needs but you’ll figure it out.

I reckon their Myspace is a good deal more sorted than ours and worth a click. Also contains gig listings.

A very rare glimps on the web of a cinematographic musician, very new on the scene. Live loops, violin, guitar and a wee bit of drum magic. The cameraman dropped dead before the first track began, his family are gutted and so am I. These vids are filmed with a phone, no matter, we still added our trademark high-res audio .
