You may already be aware of this commentary and interview between Peter Reynolds, leader of CLEAR, and myself. CLEAR (cannabis law reform party) are working to increase the supply of legal cannabis to MS sufferers, who currently have to act like covert criminals and buy it on the street. CLEAR suggests a taxed and regulated cannabis supply chain which will create some kind of utopia where MS sufferers aren’t in pain and adolescents never chuck a whitey (more…)
We love your suggestions for Disctruction – This is the feature where we destroy that one track you cannot stand. A variety of music has so far been brought to our attention.
From Vivaldi who packaged all Four of the Seasons, to the inappropriately timed Club Tropicana by Wham! With its free drinks and swimming pools and George Micheal falling off a lilo, time and time again, with perfect hair. This was in the early 80′s when most people struggled to put coal on the plate…
And then there’s this stuff the bank plays at you down the phone. It’s easy to spot, it sounds like posh people in a country garden, being recorded with a mobile phone and then shat out of guttering. And, at the end of it all, you get to talk to the bank – what’s not to like?
Sincerely, the weirdest music video I’ve ever seen…
Brian Adams – Cloud Number 9
‘Either it had some kind of profound spiritual meaning… Or he just thought sod it let’s get shit loads of milk a floating girl and a massive dog, I reckon the latter, the milk drinking scene was really, really creepy’ – Siobhán
The milk scene is especially disturbing. Sorry about the advert you may have to endure before the milk-porn begins.
It Gets Worse…
Mick Hucknell might love the thought of giving hope to you but I reckon he just sounds a bit, you know, messianic. Matt suggested this track and says it makes him feel as if he’s been touched in a ‘wrong way’. Trust Hucknell when he sings ‘Even if I know we can’t make it’ – He’s right, because however you felt at the beginning of the relationship, one day you’ll wake up to this:
Here’s the original video if you want to remind yourself – It hurts me to drive traffic to the advert youtube will play at you before the fun starts. Not because of the 30 seconds it will cost you in time, nor the banal life draining messages they’ll lever into your head via the fulcrum of Hucknell. What really bothers me is that, between you and I, we might do something that benefits him. Ah well, in for a penny, in for a pound.
It’s the voice on this last worthy candidate, thanks Peter, and the words it sings – I think you’ll like our proactive approach…
Still going strong, Occupy Totnes now with interviews and audio from Soundart Radio’s In Bed With Sarah and John.

I struggled to find people who disapproved of the protest, they were there, but largely silent. I spoke to one shop owner who wouldn’t go on-record because he needed to protect his business. Another declined whilst retreating from me (I won’t take it personally). I don’t reckon the protesters are a dangerous bunch, neither does anyone, including the police (who also wouldn’t comment on the basis they knew too little). But the Occupy Totnes movement does have a seductive message…
You can ask to join the protesters on facebook here if you wish. And here’s how the BBC reported the march.
