Matt Woffindale is the kind of musician who arrives having genuinely been dragged through a hedge backwards. We love him to bits and despite his self effacing cries to the contrary, he is one of the hardest working musicians I know. If I were Prime Minister Square things don’t roll would be our national anthem…

Let’s start off with Whiskey from a Watering Can

In years to come there will be an argument about the name of this one and I’m afraid you’ll be the one needing to apologise (either that or Matt will change it to the one I’ve used below). This isn’t deliberate mis-naming on my part, it’s just that when texted with the lyrics to one of their owns songs, most singer/songwriters will happily furnish you with the title. Not Matt though. So here’s See How They Run

Matt tweets about once a year, which is refreshing. You are more likely to catch him in a pub, behind a guitar and a mic. Check out The Search Party if you get the chance, and for fans like me there have been threats of a new album from The Humanitarians (although I won’t hold my breath because that would be stupid, and anyway my respiratory system would kick in as soon as I lost consciousness).
